We promise to respond to queries within a day and are so committed to this, that if we don’t get back to you within 24 hours of your call or email, we will donate £10 to your chosen charity.
A: We collect fees monthly by direct debit. This is helpful for our clients from a cash flow perspective and it means less admin too as you simply sign the direct debit form and we take care of the rest.
A: Yes. We use Iris Open Space to guarantee safe and secure digital transfer of documents.
A: It depends on the circumstances but generally, providing you have a turnover of £85 000+, we would always recommend being a limited company to minimise your personal liability.
A: We can help you apply for a “time to pay” arrangement.
A: If you’re expecting to turnover more than £85 000 in the next 12 months you have to be registered. You can also voluntarily register for VAT. Keep in mind that once you are VAT registered, when you are sending out invoices to clients, they will have to pay the 20% VAT. If they are also VAT registered then this will not make a difference to them as they can claim it back but if they are smaller and not VAT registered this will mean they are paying more for your services.
A: You can claim VAT back on invoices you pay. You can also claim back VAT on things you have bought/services you have invested in, so if you have to purchase a lot of materials or equipment for your business, it can be helpful to be VAT registered.
A: We can advise you on this area and are anti-money laundering regulated by HMRC.
A: The more complicated your tax affairs, the greater the risk of error but even if it all seems fairly straightforward, it is easy to lose sight of deadlines and missing deadlines incurs fines which can quickly escalate. It is also critical for your tax paperwork to be accurate, for the correct codes to be allocated etc. We can oversee all this for you and we never miss a deadline so you have peace of mind.
A: Yes! There may be things you can claim for that you didn’t realise and this can be done retrospectively.
