December 2025 Accounting Insights

As the festive season approaches, it’s a great time to get your accounts in order, show some appreciation for your team, and prepare for a fresh start in 2026. It’s been a busy year for Richard and the team – we welcomed Nutshell, moved into a new office, launched our apprenticeship scheme, and Richard has continued his work with Kith and Kids.

Before you take a well-earned break, why not tidy up your books, get ahead with your Self-Assessment, and make sure everything’s on track for the new year?

Christmas Accounting Tips for Your Business

As the festive season rolls in, it’s a good opportunity to give your books a quick tidy before the new year. Gather up any stray receipts, chase the late payers, and get a head start on your tax return – a little organisation now can save a lot of hassle later.

It’s also a nice time to look after your team, whether that’s with a small gift or a seasonal get-together. Remember, trivial gifts under £50 can still qualify for tax relief if they meet the criteria.

Do check in with us before the year wraps up. It’s the perfect moment to review how things have gone, clear up any loose ends, and make sure you’re making the most of available allowances.

And finally, take a proper break. Step away from the spreadsheets and enjoy a bit of downtime before January arrives.

New Year Resolutions

As 2025 comes to a close, it’s a great time to reflect on your business wins, learn from the challenges, and take stock of where you’re heading. Looking ahead to 2026, what do you want to achieve – bigger goals, new opportunities, or smarter ways of working?

Start the year with a clear plan and confidence, and remember, we’re here to help you make it happen.
